Stormwater Education Station at Sailwinds Park, Cambridge
DCPG members and partners have built a Stormwater Education Station at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge. The Education Station includes a small frame structure to represent a residential home that showcases what homeonwers can do to help control storm water on their properties. The project was completed in Spring 2017 and DCPG members continue to maintain the green roof and rain garden.
The project includes:
Permeable pavers
Green roof
Rain garden
Rain barrels
Pet waste station
Educational signs describing each practice.
