DCPG volunteers were joined by volunteers from the Hyatt to clean up the roadside near the wetland along Woods Road in Cambridge.  In 2 hours, 12 volunteers picked up 55 trash bags full of litter and recyclables (plastic and glass bottles).  The weather was sunny and warm.  Lots of passers-by stopped to say "thank you".

13th Annual Project Clean Stream by the Alliance for the Cheasapeake Bay

Eleven dedicated volunteers, representing Dorchester Citizens for Planned Growth and Concerned Citizens for Northern Dorchester braved the morning rain to make a difference for the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. Working at road crossings of the Gravel Run and the Skinners Run, 86 bags of trash were collected totalling 1,740 pounds. 60 tires, an over-stuffed chair, a pile of rope and a discarded canopy were also collected for later county pickup. It was a great day for the water’s of the Cheasapeake.
